Job Description

The shipping and receiving clerk will be responsible for receiving and managing all inbound and outbound supplies and equipment. This position assists in the daily flow of all goods/supplies. The role maintains the receiving area, restocks shelves as required, and assists with all aspects of logistics, etc. The role is fully cross-trained in both receiving & distribution.

Receives all supplies and equipment, documenting date and entering counts into the system. Transporting to the departments that ordered. Processes paperwork for delivery to the Accounts Payable Department. Prepares daily the outgoing shipments for pick up, entering into the system where appropriate. Assists in the request for special issues, pulling supplies and delivering or pick up. Assists distribution clerks in putting away supplies and ticketing items when time allows. Assists in the counting during semi-annual inventories. Documents shortages in shipments and damaged goods and reports to buyer for follow-up. Cross trained to assist in other positions in the department as required.
