The Registered Nurse is a sincerely caring and compassionate professional and assumes accountability in utilizing the nursing process to provide dynamic patient management. The lessons learned on Med/Surg will build a foundation that will carry a nurse through their entire career.

Sign On Bonus - $7500 with 2 years commitments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current NM license as a Registered Nurse or a multi-state compact  license that allows the nurse to work in NM.
  • Desirable characteristics include at least one year of experience as an R.N., preferably in the area of application. Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards when no directions are given.  Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
  • Must possess a current NM license as a Registered Nurse or a multi-state compact license that allows the nurse to work in NM.
  • BLS & ACLS required (New Grads have 30 days from hire date to obtain ACLS).
  • CPI Certification must be obtained during week of NEO.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Med/Surge Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. In addition to general nursing care, responsibilities of Med/Surge Nurses include (but are not limited to):

  • Provides individualized patient care and maintains clinical competency appropriate for the area of practice.
    • Understands and follows policy and procedure in addition to meeting licensure requirements
    • Responsive to current safety and quality initiatives and sustains improvement
    • Builds productive interpersonal relationships in every encounter
    • Demonstrates teamwork
    • actively participates in the department
