As a Physical Therapist Assistant, at Eastern New Mexico Medical, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:
- Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program. Associates or Bachelors Degree Preferred.
- Required License: New Mexico Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Required Certification: BLS.
- May be a new graduate, but prefer one (1) to two (2) years of staff PTA experience.
- Desirable skills include proficiency in written and verbal communication, proficiency with computerized documentation, and the ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public.
About the Job:
- The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment under the plan of care of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- This is performed to assist each patient to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
- Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
