Job Description

Collects information from incoming patients regarding services needed, insurance available, or financial status. May assist in completion of admissions or insurance forms. Contacts insurance providers to verify coverage and obtain authorization for service. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under immediate supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.  Typically Non-exempt.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
