Job Description

Directs and oversees all aspects of Eastern New Mexico Medical Center’s local supply chain.  Enforces and promotes all CHS corporate policies and procedures. Responsible for the procurement of all goods, equipment, and services for the medical center.  Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish facility, regional, and corporate goals.  Performs a wide variety of supply chain tasks.  Leads and directs the workload of local supply chain team members.  Candidates should have a wide degree of creativity/latitude and a strong foundation of supply chain operations, concepts, and best practices.  

The supply chain director plans, organizes, and manages all operational and functional aspects of local procurement, shipping & receiving, distribution, local contracting, inventory management, and assists in the capital planning process.  

A top-level manager is preferred, but a promotable candidate may be considered. Must be familiar with and have a working knowledge of:


Human Relations, Strategic and Operations planning, Customer Service, Negotiations, Inventory management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Accounting, Finance, Infection Control, Materials handling, Facilities planning, Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, Marketing, Computer Science and Transportation.

Management Computer literacy in a variety of software is desired.

Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) professional designation strongly preferred.
