The Director of Quality Management assists in the directing of all functions of Eastern New Mexico medical Center’s (ENMMC) Performance Improvement Program, Safety and Risk Management, Infection Control and Medical Affairs The DQM will: 1)provide assistance and coordination for hospital efforts to monitor and maintain a standard of care which meets or exceeds the regulatory and/or standards of the state, federal and The Joint Commission and 2) in keeping with the overall philosophy of the ENMMC, to assure that objectives of quality patient care, advancement of knowledge, and contribution to the community welfare are achieved effectively and efficiently.Qualifications
Bachelor of Science of Nursing required
Master of Science or Master of Health Administration preferred.
Desirable characteristics include a minimum of five years management experience in an acute care or closely related facility, two of which in a quality position, and demonstrated a clear working knowledge of general hospital operations, a proficiency in written and verbal communications, possesses the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with the public. Must demonstrate knowledge of resource, financial, and performance improvement processes. Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
Must possess a current NM license as a Registered Nurse or a multi-state compact license that allows the nurse to work in NM.
Certified healthcare Executive (CHE) Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Certificate in Health Services Management preferred.
