Clinical Informaticist
Job Description
As an integral part of the clinical care team, the Clinical Informaticist works collaboratively between IT and clinical operations, is a knowledgeable practitioner, consultant, educator, and evaluator striving to maintain and improve system services by mentoring clinical users to become better technology consumers.
The Clinical Informaticist participates in the design and implementation of the Clinical Information System as it pertains to clinical practice.
Supports and maintains system upgrades, system implementations, and oversees regulatory submission requirements, supporting overall business operations and allowing clinicians to provide high quality care in the most efficient manner possible utilizing technology.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, ASN required.
Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred or equivalent in education and experience.
Licenses:
RN - Current NM licensure required, multistate license a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as a nurse.
Demonstrates extensive knowledge of clinical workflow and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge and experience with Systems Development/Implementation Life Cycle related projects and Medical Informatics highly desirable.
Strong Computer Skills. Proficient with Windows/G-Suite applications.
Excellent organizational, presentation, communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a collaborative team.
Ability to work on several complex issues at the same time.
Ability to collect, analyze, and present data at various audience levels.
Excellent customer service skills.
Professionalism and an ability to manage stressful situations in a manner that is conducive to finding resolution.
