Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and other related procedures. Inserts small catheters through a needle into the blood vessels and into the heart so that X-rays, angiograms and other recordings can be taken to determine the heart's structure and function. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.Qualifications
Education: Must possess a diploma from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Experience: Previous cardiac catheterization/electrophysiology special procedures preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: ARRT or X-ray technologist license in State of New Mexico. Current BLS and ACLS required.
